Lorraine Herity is the Principal Osteopath at Better Health Osteopathy. She graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London with a Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost). She has since worked in osteopathic clinics in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and New Zealand. Lorraine is a passionate and dedicated Osteopath and relishes a challenging case. She likes to work in a family orientated clinic, treating adults, pregnant ladies, sporting professionals, the elderly and children. Her main focus is on returning patients back to everyday health, in as quick a time as possible.
At Better Health Osteopathy, I treat a wide range of ailments; sports injuries, back and neck pain, acute and chronic pain conditions, issues pre and post pregnancy, and headaches to name a few. I aim to treat the route cause of your pain, and not just the symptoms.
As an Osteopath, I am required to take a full medical history, diagnose your condition, outline and help you understand your various options for treatment (including and excluding osteopathy). Treatment plans could include a mixture of osteopathic treatment, rehabilitation exercises, and advice around pain relief. I recognise that additional specialists may be required at times. I have therefore developed an extensive network of specialists (surgeons, podiatrists, nutritionists, counsellors etc) to whom I can make referrals if needed.
I provide ACC approved treatments and can refer patients directly for X-rays and Ultrasound, if needed. No referral is required to see an Osteopath in New Zealand.
I look forward to the possibility of treating you and your family in the future.Lorraine Herity
